Hiding bodies will have to be a reward in itself after Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch, as developer CD Projekt RED fixed a glitch where you could get infinite money for storing corpses in the trunks of cars.
Patch 1.61 is here Cyberpunk 2077first update for new generation only. It crushes a lot of games many glitches and bugsthough some of it you might have hoped the developers missed out on, including a bizarre glitch that awards you infinite money for dumping corpses into the trunks of container cars.
Don’t lose your Eddie
Despite being released almost two years ago, the open-world RPG has become infamous for its bugs from day one. They ranged from game-breaking bugs to hilarious glitches, with the worst has been patched in updates since release in December 2020.
However, Cyberpunk still has a long way to go before it’s truly complete. From non-spawning critical evidence to non-opening garage doors, there are still plenty of glitches out there. Granted, some bugs and glitches are quite amusing.
Take this gem in the patch notes for example: “Fixed an issue where putting a corpse in a container or trunk, leaving, then returning could give the player an infinite amount of money.” This is video game gold, right there.
Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.61 includes many other fixes, including 20 quest bugs that were holding us back from progressing through missions. You can read all about the fixes in Description of changes (opens in a new tab).
The notes also listed a number of fixes for PC, including annoying frame drops and crashing weapon upgrades that plagued the game and hampered the progress of many frustrated players.
next generation
Two years later, Cyberpunk proves to its players that it is worth their time. It will be more difficult for those who do not have PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S; while previous generation players will have access to bug fixes, they won’t get any more fresh content and will have to make do with the game as it is.
Why should previous generation gamers stick to a game that still seems broken after years of patches and fixes, especially for upcoming RPGs like Hogwarts Legacy promising a smooth, polished, fully supported experience, even if you don’t have the money for a state-of-the-art console?
For those PC and next-gen users, Cyberpunk 2077’s next big expansion is Phantom Liberty DLC, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2023. CD Projekt RED developers will have to fight for our attention, thanks to many others upcoming gamesso DLC better offer something quite spectacular.
