Let’s cut to the chase: this weekend could be the worst ever for new things to watch on streaming services. Despite last week’s crop of titles that garnered attention – including new Netflix series Lockwood & Co. and another drama starring Harrison Ford – the next few days are drier than the Sahara on almost any major platform.
That doesn’t mean there’s nothing at all to watch this weekend – Netflix in particular has some interesting projects up its sleeve – but the conspicuous lack of franchise content and sequels will surely provide a much-needed boost in cinema attendance around the world.
Below, we’ve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, and more. We apologize in advance.
